Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 April 2026Effective: 17 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cosmic Copilot. They form a legally binding agreement between you and us. Please read them carefully. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of the United Kingdom.

1. Who we are

Cosmic Copilot is operated by Vasiliy Uvarov, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as "Cosmic Copilot" ("we", "us", or "our"). We do not operate through a limited company. Our available contact channels are listed in the Contact section below.

2. These Terms and how you accept them

By creating an account, by downloading or using our app or website, or by purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Cosmic Copilot. If you are using the service on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.

3. The service we provide

Cosmic Copilot is a consumer astrology application available on the web and on iOS. Depending on your plan, features include: natal chart calculations, daily and periodic horoscopes, personalised AI-assisted insights, transit and timing tools, relationship and compatibility features, and related content. Features evolve over time — we may add, change, or retire features as we improve the service.

4. For self-reflection and entertainment only

All astrology readings, insights, and guidance provided by Cosmic Copilot are for self-reflection, curiosity, and entertainment. They are not professional advice. You should not rely on them, and we do not intend them to be relied on, for decisions about your health, medical care, mental health, finances, legal matters, relationships, or any other matter where professional advice is appropriate. Always consult a qualified professional for such decisions.

5. Who can use Cosmic Copilot

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account if you are based in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, or at least 13 years old in other regions, subject to local law. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account you confirm you meet these requirements.

6. Your account

To use most features you need an account. You agree to:

  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials confidential and not share your account with others.
  • Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • Take responsibility for activity that happens under your account where this is caused by your acts or omissions.

7. Acceptable use

You must use Cosmic Copilot lawfully and considerately. You must not:

  • Use the service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or cause harm.
  • Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the service, except where the law expressly allows.
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.
  • Bypass, disable, or interfere with security, rate limits, quotas, access controls, or paywalls.
  • Submit content or prompts that are illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually exploitative of minors, or that violate third-party rights.
  • Use the service to build or improve a competing product, or to train machine-learning models, without our written permission.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the service except where we expressly permit it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this clause, without refund for amounts attributable to the breach period.

8. Subscriptions and billing — web

Some features require a paid subscription. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. The plan you choose, the price, the billing cycle, and any introductory offer are displayed in the checkout flow before you confirm. By purchasing a subscription you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Taxes (such as UK VAT) are shown at checkout where applicable.

  • Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price, unless you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription on the web. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your access continues until then.
  • If we change the renewal price, we will give you reasonable prior notice. You can cancel before the change takes effect.

9. Subscriptions and billing — iOS (Apple in-app purchase)

On iOS, subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple under Apple's standard in-app purchase terms. The following disclosures apply, as required by Apple and for your information:

  • Title: Cosmic Monthly (month-to-month) or Cosmic Annual (year-to-year).
  • Length: one month or one year, as shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
  • Price: displayed in your local currency in the App Store at the time of purchase.
  • Payment: charged to your Apple ID (Apple Account) at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal charge: your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the current price of the selected plan.
  • Managing subscriptions: you can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings on your Apple device (Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • No prorated cancellation: cancelling during an active period does not end the current period; only future auto-renewals are turned off.
  • Free trial: any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription to the same publication, where applicable.
  • Links: these Terms (https://www.cosmic-copilot.com/terms) and our Privacy Policy (https://www.cosmic-copilot.com/privacy) apply. The Apple Standard EULA applicable to licensed applications is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Apple handles refunds for iOS in-app purchases under Apple's refund policy. You can request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

10. Free trials and introductory offers

From time to time we offer free trials or discounted introductory periods. Unless stated otherwise at the point of sign-up, a trial automatically converts into a paid subscription at the regular price at the end of the trial, and you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends. Eligibility for trials and introductory offers may be limited to one per person or per payment method.

11. Cancelling and your 14-day right to cancel

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers buying at a distance have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Cosmic Copilot is digital content supplied immediately on payment.

  • If you want full access to digital content immediately (including daily content, personalised insights, and premium features), we need your express consent to start providing it within the 14-day period and your acknowledgement that, once performance has begun, you will lose your right to cancel. By clicking "Subscribe" (or equivalent) on the checkout you give that consent and acknowledgement.
  • If you do not wish to lose your cancellation right, do not start using paid features during the first 14 days and contact us within that period to request cancellation. We will refund what you paid.
  • You can also end your subscription at any time by cancelling future renewals (see Subscriptions above). Access continues until the end of the paid period you already paid for.

12. Refunds

Beyond the statutory cancellation right above:

  • On the web, we will consider refund requests on a discretionary basis within 14 days of purchase if you have not made substantial use of the service. Contact us through the channels in the Contact section.
  • On iOS, refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy. Please raise the request at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Nothing in this section affects your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including rights for digital content that is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described.

13. Your content and feedback

You keep ownership of the content you submit to Cosmic Copilot (for example, your birth details, relationship entries, and feedback messages). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and process that content strictly to operate the service, to secure it, and to improve it. We will only use your feedback to improve Cosmic Copilot and will not publish it with your identity without your consent.

14. Our intellectual property

Cosmic Copilot, including its software, content, design, brand, logos, and any AI-generated outputs produced for you, is owned by or licensed to us. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms. You do not acquire any ownership rights.

15. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers (such as Apple, Stripe, Supabase, and our AI model providers) to function. Where you link out to a third-party service, or where a third-party service is integrated into the app, that service's own terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties, except to the extent we are legally required to be.

16. Availability

We work hard to keep the service available and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may carry out scheduled maintenance, and outages may occur. For free plans we make no uptime commitment. For paid plans we aim to provide a reliable service consistent with a consumer app of this kind, but we do not offer an SLA with service credits.

17. Changes to the service

We may add, change, or retire features, and may change how the service works. Where a change materially reduces the features included in your paid subscription, we will give you reasonable notice and, if you do not wish to continue, you may cancel and receive a prorated refund of any unused portion of your current billing period.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. If the change is material (for example, to liability, dispute resolution, or price), we will give you reasonable prior notice through the app or by email. Your continued use of the service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the service.

19. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Cosmic Copilot at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are legally required to, or if we reasonably need to protect the service, other users, or ourselves. Where termination is for your material breach, we are not required to refund amounts attributable to the breach period.

20. Our responsibility for loss

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence,
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation,
  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under UK law.

Subject to the carve-outs above, and to the extent permitted by law: we are not liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable at the time you agree to these Terms; we are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, or loss caused by your failure to follow reasonable instructions; and our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms and the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £50. [SOLICITOR REVIEW — CAP AMOUNT AND SCOPE]

21. Your responsibility for misuse

If a third-party claim is made against us because you used the service in breach of these Terms (for example, because you submitted content that infringed someone's rights, or because you used the service for unlawful purposes), you agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses, damages, and costs we incur as a direct result, to the extent caused by your breach and not by our acts or omissions. [SOLICITOR REVIEW — INDEMNITY SCOPE]

22. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including telecoms or internet outages, third-party provider outages, power failures, natural disasters, strikes, governmental restrictions, or pandemics. If such an event occurs, we will take reasonable steps to limit the impact.

23. General terms

  • If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.
  • Our failure or delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
  • You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor, a group company, or a buyer of our business, provided your rights are not reduced.
  • These Terms do not create rights for third parties under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between us regarding the service and supersede any prior communications.

24. Governing law and where claims can be brought

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear disputes. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or another part of the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and the mandatory consumer-protection laws of that part of the UK will apply. If you live outside the UK, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply to you.

25. Complaints

If you have a complaint or a dispute with us, please contact us first using the channels in the Contact section. We will acknowledge your message promptly and aim to resolve the issue within a reasonable time. We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. For consumer issues you can also contact Citizens Advice (https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk) or the ICO for data-protection matters (https://ico.org.uk). [SOLICITOR REVIEW — ADR]
