Is astrology scientific?

Why does the exact birth time matter?

Birth time determines the rising sign and the house cusps. Without an accurate time, the chart still shows correct planet signs and aspects, but house placements—which describe life areas like work, relationships, and home—shift roughly one degree per four minutes of clock time. A two-hour error can move planets across multiple houses, changing the reading materially.

What is a birth chart and what does it show?

A birth chart (natal chart) is a diagram of the sky as it appeared from your birth location at the moment you were born. It shows the Sun, Moon, and visible planets, the twelve zodiac signs, the twelve houses, and the geometric angles—aspects—between planets. Together these describe a personality and life pattern far richer than any single Sun-sign description.

Which house system should I use?

Most modern Western astrologers default to Placidus, the most popular time-based system.
