Life Path Number
Your core numerology theme derived from your birth date.
The Life Path number is calculated from your full birth date and represents your central life themes, strengths, and lessons. It is the most widely used number in modern numerology and offers a big-picture map of purpose and growth.
Example
A Life Path 3 often points to creative expression, communication, and joy as core themes.
Cultural Context
Life Path calculation methods vary between numerology traditions. The most common Western method reduces the birth date sequentially (month + day + year) to avoid accidentally reducing Master Numbers. Chaldean numerology, which is older, uses a different letter-number mapping and is still practiced in parts of South Asia and the Middle East.
Famous Example
Martin Luther King Jr. (born January 15, 1929) had a Life Path 1 — the number of leadership, independence, and pioneering. His courage to lead the civil rights movement, stand alone against injustice, and forge new paths for equality powerfully embodies Life Path 1 themes.
Did You Know?
Life Path numbers are distributed unevenly across the population. Some numbers (like 1, 2, and 3) are statistically more common because of how date reduction works. Master Number 33 is the rarest Life Path because very few birth dates reduce to 33 before final reduction.
